Gustav Mahler, Austrian composer who bridged the gap between the classical music of the 19th century and modern classical. He didn’t enjoy his fame during his lifetime, unfortunately, and his music was even banned during the Nazi regime. After 1945 the music was discovered and championed by a new generation of listeners. Not to mention the fact that he was a stone cold fox. Those eyes. That wavy hair. That beard!
